Exhibition - Bill Brandt: vintage photographs and books

Bill Brandt (1904-1983) was the pre-eminent British photographer of his time.  The international reach of his books and exhibitions influenced a generation of photographers.  The photographs in this exhibition come, in the main, from the collection of his first wife, Eva, which passed to close friends after her death in 1989.  They are what are generally termed 'vintage' prints, in other words prints made close to the dates of the negatives on papers of the period, and include both well-known and previously unpublished examples of his work.  The exhibition will run from 15 May until 12 June.  Please contact Lindsey Stewart for further information.
