First edition, dedicated and presented to the Roxburghe Club by Philip Bradfer-Lawrence, a member’s copy presented to Adrian McLaughlin.

The volume comprises photographic reproductions of the Breton Gospel Book acquired by H.L. Bradfer-Lawrence in 1950, accompanied by an essay by Francis Wormald (1904–1972) read before the Society of Antiquaries of London in 1955, a further essay by Jonathan Alexander, and a description of the manuscript.

Provenance: this copy printed for presentation to Adrian McLaughlin, with his name printed in red on the list of members of the Roxburghe Club.
