8vo, pp. [16]; with full-page woodcut (Louis XIV?) to first leaf and another of Anne of Austria to final verso, each between typographic head- and tailpieces, woodcut portrait vignette to title, typographic ornaments and astrological diagrams; very small wormhole to first leaves, outer bifolium slightly dusty and worn, lightly creased where once folded, but a good copy; pamphlet-stitched; contemporary ink notes to title and final verso.

A seemingly unrecorded Le Mans-printed almanack for Maine, attributed to the catch-all almanack pseudonym ‘Matthieu Lansbergh’, with a full-page woodcut of Anne of Austria.
In addition to the usual – a calendar of feast days, weather forecasts and lunar cycles, fairs, markets, and changes to currency – is a riddle:
‘Je suis un corps sans ame, & j’ai du movement;
Je m’arrête aussi-tôt qu’un indiscret me touche;
Je sçai marcher sans pieds, je sçai parler sans bouche,
Et sans sortir d’un lieu je cours incessamment:
Ce que je ne sçai pas je puis même l’apprendre,
Lorsque je ne dis mot je sçai me faire entendre;
Je parle avecque règle, & je suïs sans raison.
Un sévére Tyran me tient sous sa puissance,
Et bien que le Soleil m’ait donné la naissance,
J’habite toutefois une sombre prison.’
