First edition, very rare, of this sermon on 2 Timothy 2:3 (‘Labour as a good soldier of Jesus Christ’), printed at the Boys’ Refuge in Liverpool.

The Boys’ Refuge was a Catholic industrial school in Liverpool, established in 1865. The printing press was evidently operated over several decades, although this is the earliest title we have been able to identify: Library Hub finds only three other works, each in one copy only, dated 1873, 1897, and 1899.

Library Hub and OCLC together find only one copy, at the British Library.
